  1. How much does Purgex Cost?

    Purgex is priced below the typical market price for purging compounds, with the best performance to cost ratio in the industry. For a specific price quote, please contact us.

  2. Is Purgex safe for hot runner systems?

    Yes. Our products can be processed through gates as small as .030-inch, or .75mm.

  3. Do I need more than one grade of Purgex if I run commodity and engineering resins?

    Not necessarily. Because of the overlap of temperature ranges Purgex is formulated to support, the grades used for engineering resins will also work for commodity resins.

  4. Do I need more than one grade of Purgex if only some of my resins are filled?

    No. The grade used for filled will also clean out the unfilled resins.

  5. Do I have to raise or lower my temperature to make Purgex work better?

    No. Purgex is designed to work at resin processing temperatures. This allows you to make faster material and color changes, saving you time and money.

  6. Does Purgex have a shelf life?

    No. There is no shelf life provided that it is properly stored in a cool, dry space.

  7. Is Purgex safe for people?

    Yes. All active Purgex ingredients are completely non-toxic and have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in food and pharmaceutical formulations.

  8. How long can I leave Purgex in the barrel?

    We recommend you follow the purging procedures, but extended residence time will not harm the equipment, or decrease the effectiveness of Purgex.

  9. How much Purgex is required to clean an Injection Molding Machine?

    Neutrex recommends 1˝ times the injection capacity to clean the barrel and screw. If you want to clean the hot runner manifold as well as the barrel and screw, use two times the injection capacity.
