Purge Beyond Clean™
PURGEX offers a complete line of commercial purging compounds to meet any need. All of our products can be used for color and material changes, as well as to remove any residual contamination in thermoplastic injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding machines.
Purgex effectively cleans hot runner systems. Our products can be safely processed through hot runner gates as small as .030-inch, or .75mm.
Purgex safely purges downstream equipment. Purgex thoroughly cleans extrusion or blow molding dies with gaps as small as .030-inch, or .75mm.

PURGEX 456 Plus

Physical Description:
- Blend of polyethylene, and an active component, which has been FDA-approved for use in food and pharmaceutical formulations.
- Non-toxic, non-abrasive, and safe.
- Ready to use and easy to remove.
Temperature Range:
Operating temperature range of 280°F to 550°F (138°C to 288°C).
Applications:
PURGEX 456 Plus is primarily designed for use with unfilled commodity resins, within the operating temperature range of 280°F to 550°F (138°C to 288°C). Features of this product include:
- Allows efficient purging of the barrel, screw, and nozzle, as well as hot runners.
- Removes all types of colorants and commodity resins, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and their copolymers.
- Neutralizes HCl gasses in PVC purging applications.
- Rapid turnaround on color and material changes with polyolefins and their copolymers, styrenic polymers, acetals, TPO, TPU, and many more resins processed in this temperature range.
- Supports flexible PVC purging applications.
PURGEX 457 Plus

Physical Description:
- Blend of polyethylene, 3% glass, and an active component, which has been FDA-approved for use in food and pharmaceutical formulations.
- Non-toxic, non-abrasive, and safe.
- Ready to use and easy to remove.
Temperature Range:
Operating temperature range of 300°F to 550°F (149°C to 288°C).
Applications:
PURGEX 457 Plus is designed for more difficult purging applications, such as glass or mineral filled resins, viscous, and elastomeric resins. Features of this product include:
- Allows efficient purging of the barrel, screw, and nozzle, as well as hot runner systems.
- Works exceptionally well on resins containing glass or fillers. Removes all types of colorants and commodity resins, including polypropylene, polyethylene, and their copolymers.
- Neutralizes HCl gasses in PVC purging applications.
- Rapid turnaround on color and material changes with polyolefins and their copolymers, styrenic polymers, acetals, PBT, TPO, TPU, and many other resins processed in this temperature range.
- Supports rigid PVC purging applications. Is also effective for flexible PVC.

Blend, consisting of a linear low polyethylene carrier plus FDA approved active ingredients which are non-toxic, non-abrasive, safe, pellets without fines, ready-to-use and easy to removeTemperature Range:
Operating temperature range of 250°F to 450°F (120°C to 232°C)
Applications:
- Purgex 460 Plus is a strong purging compound containing 8% active ingredient (concentrate). This product is effective for heavily contaminated lines, particularly those having been infrequently purged.
- Purgex 460 Plus has been engineered for commodity resins, specifically polyolefins.
- Purgex 460 Plus is effective in removing compostable and biodegradable resins.
- Purgex 460 Plus is used for color and/or material changes and the removal of residual contamination in blown film lines.
- Purgex 460 Plus will efficiently purge/clean the extruder, screen pack housing, die/manifold, removing all types of color bodies and degraded resins.

- Purgex 461 Plus will efficiently purge/clean the extruder, screen pack housing, die/manifold, removing all types of color bodies and degraded resins.
PURGEX 3056 Plus

Operating temperature range of 300°F to 600°F (149°C to 316°C) with a 5 minute soak or higher temperatures without a soak.
Applications:
PURGEX 3056 Plus is designed to effectively remove all types of colorants and engineering resins, such as nylon and polycarbonate, from the barrel, screw, nozzle, and hot runner systems. Features of this product include:
- Modified polyethylene for higher temperature resins.
- Operates up to 600°F (316°C) with a five minute soak, or higher temperatures without a soak.
- Rapid turnaround on color and material changes with PA, PET, PPO, and many other resins processed in this temperature range.
PURGEX 3057 Plus

Applications:
PURGEX 3057 Plus is an excellent choice for more difficult purging applications, such as glass or mineral filled resins, viscous, and elastomeric resins. Features of this product include:
- Modified polyethylene for higher temperature resins.
- Assures rapid turnaround on color and material changes with challenging resins such as PC, PC/ABS, PPA, PPE and PPS and is recommended for glass- or mineral-filled applications.
- Operates up to 600°F (316°C) with a five minute soak, or higher temperatures without a soak.
